Join us in welcoming Prof. Sophie Romblon!

Sophie has a degree in European Languages (French & German), magna cum laude, from UP Diliman, and is currently a faculty member of UP’s Department of European Languages. She has a Master’s degree in Teaching French from Université Côte d’Azur (Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis).







Teacher Yen reaches another milestone in her career as she embarks on the PhD in Education program in UP Diliman. The program will focus on Language Education and Research. Yen graduated magna cum laude from UP Diliman with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics. She has a Master’s degree in Korean Education from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea.






Starting this October, Teacher Jerome will conduct his Spanish courses with the dedicated modules he himself wrote and developed: “Pongámonos en camino”. Literally meaning “Let us set out”, the modules are aimed at accelerating the learning of beginners and elementary students, through a combination of structured grammar, listening, reading and free production exercises.






Teacher Jesse is a true woman of the arts. She specializes in Asian Literature, and has trained in Japanese culture, history and fine & performance arts in Yokohama, Tokyo, Osaka and Kobe. Her rich background in Japanese enables her to offer a well-rounded Japanese course, which does not only include the N5 syllabus, but also lessons on culture and traditions. Her course is an immersion!





Korean Student’s Docu Qualifies for Korean Film Festival

“Last Days at Sea”, a documentary directed and produced by Venice C.A., a student in our Korean 1 course with Teacher Seoga, is part of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival in South Korea. Venice is a globally acclaimed and multi-awarded professional documentary and feature film director.


Tourism Executive Excels in Korean

Shay D.’s family was impressed by how fast she learned Korean, having never studied the language before. “Some of them even enrolled in his next course,” she said. “My experience in learning Korean with Seoga was superb. Our classes are always exciting and entertaining, and he is very patient.” Shay believes in the quality of our courses that she is now taking up Spanish, while waiting for Korean 2.

Verb Hive recently launched its omnibus brand video, titled: "The World is Home". In line with our mission of bringing the world together, the feature celebrates the ubiquity of the home, the warmth of welcome and acceptance and the unique opportunity to gather people and cultures from across the globe, for the love of languages and new discoveries.
